Stringed Instrument Combined Bridge and Tailpiece

This US design patent, assigned to Ovation Instruments, Inc., covers the ornamental design of a combined bridge and tailpiece for stringed instruments, filed by inventor James H. Rickard of Harwinton, Connecticut. The design features six individual bridge saddles with string notches and a tailpiece section with anchor holes for string attachment. A second embodiment is also described wherein each bridge saddle has two string notches instead of one, and the tailpiece has twelve anchor holes instead of six.
