Improved guitar headstock with rearwardly-inclined machine-head adjusting handles. The axis of rotation of the adjusting handle is inclined rearwardly relative to the plane of the finger-board and non-parallel to the axis of rotation of the winding peg, allowing natural hand positioning for tuning without uncomfortable wrist flexion.
