Pickup mounting system for stringed instruments

A vibration-isolating mounting system for magnetic induction pickups on guitars and similar stringed instruments, assigned to Ovation Instruments, Inc. The system uses resilient rubber grommets, compression springs, and a retaining member to decouple the pickup from the instrument body, minimizing microphonic feedback and extraneous noise while allowing easy multi-axis adjustment of pickup position relative to the strings.
