1980
UK
1 pages
This is a single-page magazine review of the Ovation UK-II solid electric guitar, originally reviewed on 23/2/80 with a list price of £431.25, later reduced to £375. The review covers the guitar's unconventional use of plastics and aluminium alloy construction, its humbucker pickups, asymmetrically contoured neck, and series/parallel switching. An update note mentions a price drop of £56 and a planned heavy promotion campaign featuring ELO and Dr Hook to boost interest in Ovation solid guitars.
