Ovation 2006 Collectors Edition Review – Guitarist Magazine

This is a three-page review from the July 2006 issue of Guitarist magazine (UK) covering the Ovation 2006 Collectors Edition electro-acoustic guitar, priced at £2,199. The article details the guitar's features including a solid figured-koa top, Lyrachord GS deep contour bowl, and the debut of Ovation's VIP-5 Virtual Image Preamp blender system developed in collaboration with Fishman. The review gives the guitar an overall three-star rating, praising its classy looks and versatile preamp while criticizing its uninspiring unplugged acoustic performance.
