For auction is a U.S.A. made, 2000 Ovation Elite Limited guitar. The official Ovation designation is Ovation 2000LTD-MR guitar. If you’re an Ovation fan, you need this guitar! Fifty or less of these guitars were hand crafted exclusively for Mars Music back in the day (Mars Music is now out of business). The wood used on this guitar was selected by the same person who chose woods for Air Force One. The Russian burled walnut used for the top is over 300 years old and was part of the wood collection of a Russian Czar. The figuring on this top is BEYOND FANTASTIC! It has walnut epaulets and a walnut inlay at the 12th fret that says, “2000 LTD”. The guitar has a beautiful mahogany/maple/mahogany 5 piece neck with the Ovation emblem in gold on the headstock with gold plated Schaller tuners. The guitar has a mid-depth bowl with a chromatic tuner, acoustic/electric controls, and XLR plug in capability (along with a standard input jack). The condition of the guitar is near mint. The guitar does have some light, superficial pick scratches or swirls as some people call them, but that’s it. There are no dings. This guitar has never been “gigged”. I bought this guitar new from a music store and has been used at home only. The guitar comes with its original hardshell case (in near mint condition). It also comes with a leather case to go over the OHSC! Other extras with this very special guitar are: a burled walnut key chain in the shape of the Ovation headstock (new condition, never used); a history and authenticity document on the Russian burled walnut, written in both English and Russian; a Russian caviar tin (for display purposes only) and a one ounce empty glass caviar container from Seattle caviar along with a small insulated collapsible cooler from Seattle Caviar Company (when you bought the guitar, they sent you 1 ounce of caviar on ice via FedEx!); and a Kaman Music letter documenting this very rare and unique Ovation guitar. This is truly a collectible Ovation guitar with all the necessary accessories and documentation to tell its story. You won’t be disappointed with this guitar. Check out all the photos showing everything. A photo of the Kaman Music letter on this guitar is also included so you can read it yourself.
