Adamas II 1681-9 Brown

Cette très belle guitare appartient à mon Ami Pascal Ridoux de Fontenay le Vicomte en France.

A noter la couleur peu commune et le filet de table différent de celui des autres Adamas.

Merci à Pascal pour ces photos.

---------------------------

This very nice guitar belongs to my Friend Pascal Ridoux from Fontenay le Vicomte in France.

The brown color is not common and at the carved rim around the table is different to the others.

Many thanks to Pascal for these photos.

Like always, Mr Bill Kaman was kind enough to give us more informations about this unusual carved trim.
Here's his answer:

"It is a moulded piece that sits up on the top and over the bowl. It was made on a Vaccuform machine.
We made several like this but it proved to be very labor intensive to make and was not that very well recieved so we changed.
Just for fun look at the Applause guitars of the same period and check out their construction methods."
